Back hair can be eradicated through a series of laser hair removal treatments. The process works by using a laser beam to target a group of hair follicles. The laser passes beneath the skin to damage the root. This prevents the hair from growing back most of the time. Laser body hair removal treatments usually require multiple treatments. Because the back is such a large area, the procedure can take up to an hour to complete.

After six months, between 60 and 95 percent of the hair may disappear. In some cases, there is re-growth, however, the new hairs are finer in texture and lighter in color than the original ones.
