More About DR. MELISSA TUFT, DDS - SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Dr. Melissa Tuft is a friendly, gentle dentist who loves taking care of her patients. She’s been providing general and comprehensive dental care for more than 30 years at her office in the heart of San Francisco. Her patients rave about her friendly personality, gentle hands, and skill at helping them achieve their desired aesthetics.

Having braces as a young adult gave her an appreciation for straight, healthy teeth that she brings to her practice every day. Now, she is an Invisalign level-2 provider—the highest level a dentist can become—and helps her patients achieve the smiles they want.

Dr. Tuft is seriously dedicated to continuing her education so she can bring her patients the most advanced therapies and treatments. For example, instead of a drill, she uses air abrasion, which can gently remove decay. It’s not as stimulating or painful for patients, and there’s no need for needles. When it comes to anesthesia, she uses short-term products that wear off in 45 minutes so patients can easily go back to work without having their whole face stay totally numb.

Dr. Tuft also teaches restorative dentistry to the next generation of dentists. She loves volunteering with San Francisco’s homeless population, helping them to get back on track with beautiful, healthy smiles.
